In March of 2024, the team at Signature Management Corp. was proud to kick off our first community service event of the year with our Annual VBSPCA Supply Drive. Over the course of two weeks, our teams from all ten of our properties across the region began collecting in-kind and monetary donations, including new and used supplies, toys, food, bedding and more.

In total, Signature Management’s communities and corporate office came together to deliver two full truckloads of supplies to the VBSPCA, helping to enrich the lives of animals in their care.

Signature Management Corp. has a longstanding relationship with the Virginia Beach SPCA, born out of our established Pet Fee Partnership. This pet fee partnership allocates a portion of all pet fees collected at each of our communities to sponsor a dog kennel at the VBSPCA.

As a pet friendly organization, we are proud to support the VBSPCA in their extraordinary mission to help more than 3,000 animals annually.

Through this Pet Fee Partnership, Signature Management sponsored a kennel that holds up to two small dogs at a time by donating a percentage of pet fees collected from apartments across Hampton Roads, VA.

Nine months later, this partnership has enabled the housing and safe care of more than a dozen dogs, including Clementine – a friendly and loving, 6 year old terrier mix who arrived at the VBSPCA longing for a home of her own.

Clementine’s life before the Virginia Beach SPCA was spent almost entirely on a chain. Once moved into her Signature Management-sponsored kennel at the VBSPCA, she was able to receive a comfortable shelter to safely await her new owners.

Clementine was lovingly tended to and showered with affection by the warm and caring staff at the VBSPCA. She waited patiently for 5 months to find her forever family, all of it spent with the care she deserves. We’re proud to share that Clementine has found her forever home.

Forming a partnership with the VBSPCA has provided a unique opportunity to directly support animals in need of shelter and ongoing care – an opportunity we hold close to our hearts. We are proud to have been able to support the VBSPCA in their incredible goal of caring for over 3,000 pets annually, and are excited to offer dogs just like Clementine a chance at finding their forever families.

The Kennel Sponsorship is a unique opportunity to directly support animals in need of shelter and ongoing care. Signature Management’s donation will be providing one year of housing for a kennel that holds up to two small dogs at a time. We are excited to support the SPCA in their goal of serving 3,000+ pets annually!

In addition to donating a percentage of all 2022 pet fees to sponsor a dog kennel at SPCA, SMC will also be hosting an in-kind donation drive for residents to contribute to the wonderful work the SPCA is doing for animals in our community. From March 16 –31, 2022 items from the SPCA Wish List will be collected at our ten apartment community locations throughout Hampton Roads, VA. Every in-kind donation helps the SPCA save money that will be reallocated to help even more animals and to enrich the lives of animals in their care until they find their forever homes.
